About

Bishop Victor R. Scott has devoted over 25 years to pastoral ministry, serving churches and leaders across Georgia through preaching, discipleship, and organizational leadership. Licensed to preach at the age of 19 by Powell Baptist Church in Harlem, Georgia, under the leadership of Rev. Randall Whitaker, Bishop Scott began his ministry while studying at Georgia Southern University. During his college years, he served as Interim Pastor of Ogeechee Free Will Baptist Church in Millen, Georgia (2000–2002), preaching weekly, leading Bible studies, and shepherding a small rural congregation.

After completing his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Georgia Southern in 2002, Bishop Scott went on to serve in a variety of pastoral roles. He was Associate Pastor of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Statesboro (2004–2006), Youth Director at Pittman Park United Methodist Church in Statesboro (2006–2009), and Youth Pastor at Cordele First United Methodist Church (2009–2013). In each ministry, he focused on equipping leaders, developing discipleship pathways, and fostering gospel-centered community.

In 2014, Bishop Scott joined Ambassadors of Christ Ministries in Columbus, Georgia, as Executive Pastor of Discipleship and Ministry Development. He played a key role in shaping leadership training, small group systems, and discipleship strategies for the church’s two congregations: Ambassadors of Christ Fellowship and Iglesia Embajadores de Cristo. In July 2022, he was installed as Senior Pastor (Presiding Elder).

In July 2025, during the Annual Gathering of Alliance Partners Network International (APNI), Bishop Scott was ordained and consecrated to the Order of Bishop. At that time, he was re-inducted into his pastoral role as Senior Pastor (Bishop) of Ambassadors of Christ Ministries, reflecting his elevation to the episcopal order of ministry. That same month, he was appointed as Jurisdictional Bishop of the newly formed West Georgia Missionary Jurisdiction, providing spiritual oversight and support to pastors and congregations throughout western Georgia under the episcopal oversight of the Diocese of Columbus. Bishop Scott has also served as General Overseer of the Diocese of Columbus since 2018, assisting the Diocesan Bishop with strategic leadership and administration.

Beyond his local and diocesan roles, Bishop Scott contributes to the broader church as Executive Director of Policy and Procedure for APNI (since 2019), helping establish and maintain the organization’s governance structure. He is also the President and CEO of Scott Publishing Services, a company he founded in 2012 to help first-time and experienced authors navigate the self-publishing process.

Bishop Scott’s ministry is marked by a passion for biblically grounded preachingone-on-one discipleship, and the study of church history, with a particular focus on ecclesiology. He has written over ten published works on faith, church membership, biblical study, and liturgical practice.

He earned his Master of Divinity from Luther Rice University and Seminary in 2011, following his undergraduate studies at Georgia Southern, where he earned a BA in Sociology. Bishop Scott has been joyfully married to his wife, Miranda, for 22 years, and together they are the proud parents of two daughters.
